Steel beams, tubes and pipes are often required to be coping in order to fit within an assembly. These assemblies often have to fit together irregular-shaped parts and angles such as handrails and car bumpers or racecar roll cages. Coping allows all parts to fit into their respective settings, regardless of size or shape.
The V808 robot profile processor can cut all types of shapes and lay out marking on all 4 sides. If this profile width is not possible, the VoortmanV807, our latest coping robot, can often be used to process profiles up to 1.050mm (42). Thermally, the V808 robot can handle a variety of thermally-processable cuts including rat holes, seismic structural connections (like slotted Web and "dog bone") cuts, copes at product's beginning and end, block outs and holes in any shape or size, weld preps and marking on all four sides.
